Jakarta – 3kg LPG (elpiji) in
Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, and Serang since Thursday (28/8) started
to disappear from the market due to its continuously rising demand,
yet limited supply. Household consumers are now confused looking for
elpiji, particularly the 3kg package.
Aside from difficult to
find the subsidized elpiji, they also have to face the increased
price of 3kg elpiji. Now, 12kg elpiji is also started to be rare and
mostly sold in far higher price than Pertamina's price, IDR69,000.
Jakarta – Next week,
Transportation Ministry will call Sriwijaya Air management for
information on the plane accident in Jambi, Wednesday (27/8).
According to Director of Airworthiness Certification, Yurlis
Hasibuan, the call is to clarify the accident and evaluate Sriwijaya
Air's safety system. He said, so far Sriwijaya Air is in questioned
airlines group.
Today National Transportation Safety
Commission will send an investigation team for Sriwijaya Air
incident.
Palembang
- A Sriwijaya Air plane with 100 passengers on board slipped off the
runway of Jambi`s Sultan Thaha airport, ran over a piece of farmland
and hit a farmer and his child on Wednesday. The farmer and his child
who had yet to be identified were injured and rushed to a nearby
hospital but nobody on the plane was hurt.
One of the
passengers evacuated from the plane said the aircraft left Jakarta at
15:45 and was to arrive in Jambi at 16:45. The short wing at the
plane`s rear end was damaged.
Mataram
– Earthenware craftsmen in Banyumulek Village, West Lombok, West
Nusa Tenggara, urged to execute Bali bombers immediately. According
to them, bomb impact is still felt up until now: less buyers, since
tourists are still afraid to come. “We're still suffering,” said
